Our high school provides a three-year course of secondary education for teenagers between the ages of 15 and 18.\u00a0 Our pupils are prepared for the \u201cbaccalaur\u00e9at\u201d, baccalaureate, colloquially known as \u201cbac\u201d which leads to higher education studies.\u00a0 The first year is called \u201cseconde\u201d.\u00a0 At the end of the first year, students choose either general courses or technical courses which they will take in \u201cpremi\u00e8re\u201d and \u201cterminale\u201d (the last two years).<\/p>\n
We offer a wide range of subjects including Arts, Management Sciences and Technologies, Film-making, Computer Science, English Literature, Economics, History and Geopolitics, Political Science, Science, Latin, Foreign Languages (Spanish, Italian, German, English, Chinese, Arabic) and all students take Philosophy courses in \u201cterminale\u201d.<\/p>\n
We also offer a European English Section and a European Spanish Section targeted at students who are particularly interested in foreign languages as well as improving their oral skills.\u00a0 They take additional language courses and these courses are reinforced by lessons of History-Geography in English or in Spanish.<\/p>\n
As regards\u00a0 post-secondary education, our school also provides courses leading to two different Higher National Diplomas (Brevet de Technicien Sup\u00e9rieur, aka BTS), with majors in Managerial Accounting or Negotiation and Digitalization of the Customer Relationship.<\/p>\n
Our school consists of nearly 1,500 pupils and about 120 staff members.\u00a0 It is located in Bordeaux city center, within walking or cycling distance from the historical sites and World Heritage perimeter.\u00a0 It is a creative school with lots of activities and a friendly atmosphere.<\/p>\n
