{"id":4498,"date":"2018-10-21T09:24:41","date_gmt":"2018-10-21T07:24:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lyceemauriac.fr\/?p=4498"},"modified":"2018-10-21T09:25:40","modified_gmt":"2018-10-21T07:25:40","slug":"4498","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lyceemauriac.fr\/index.php\/2018\/10\/21\/4498\/","title":{"rendered":"Students at the museum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">JACK LONDON EXHIBITION IN BORDEAUX<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">On Tuesday 9th October, our class went to the Aquitaine Museum to learn a bit more about Jack London, a famous American writer and adventurer.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">He was born in 1876 in San Francisco, California and died in 1916 at the age of 40. He led an adventurous and risky life as he traveled to many places with Charmian, his second wife, who was also very bold and courageous.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">During the exhibition, we learned that Jack London visited many remote and isolated islands in the South Pacific aboard the Snark with his crew. During his journey, he tried to write 1,000 words a day to tell about his adventures. He also took many pictures.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">Jack London finally published more than 50 books including White Fang (Croc-Blanc) and many adventure novels and short stories.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">We liked the exhibition although it was a little too fast in English for some of us!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">The (brave) 212\/214 students<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>JACK LONDON EXHIBITION IN BORDEAUX On Tuesday 9th October, our class went to the Aquitaine Museum to learn a bit more about Jack London, a famous American writer and adventurer.
