Welcome!
Our high school provides a three-year course of secondary education for teenagers between the ages of 15 and 18. Our pupils are prepared for the “baccalauréat”, baccalaureate, colloquially known as “bac” which leads to higher education studies. The first year is called “seconde”. At the end of the first year, students choose either general courses or technical courses which they will take in “première” and “terminale” (the last two years).
We offer a wide range of subjects including Arts, Management Sciences and Technologies, Film-making, Computer Science, English Literature, Economics, History and Geopolitics, Political Science, Science, Latin, Foreign Languages (Spanish, Italian, German, English, Chinese, Arabic) and all students take Philosophy courses in “terminale”.
We also offer a European English Section and a European Spanish Section targeted at students who are particularly interested in foreign languages as well as improving their oral skills. They take additional language courses and these courses are reinforced by lessons of History-Geography in English or in Spanish.
As regards post-secondary education, our school also provides courses leading to two different Higher National Diplomas (Brevet de Technicien Supérieur, aka BTS), with majors in Managerial Accounting or Negotiation and Digitalization of the Customer Relationship.
Our school consists of nearly 1,500 pupils and about 120 staff members. It is located in Bordeaux city center, within walking or cycling distance from the historical sites and World Heritage perimeter. It is a creative school with lots of activities and a friendly atmosphere.
